Woofings, furiends, and a furry merry Christmas to you!
I hope that Santa finds you – wherever you are! He certainly seems to find me when I’m on my sailing holibobs.
(Remember, here in New Zealand it is summer at Christmas time, because we live south of the equator. So I often get to celebrate Christmas on the boat and in the sunshine!)

This cartoon is from my book ‘Minnie The Westie – Sailor Dog Vacation’… check it out on Amazon.com and other online bookstores!
(In the book, you’ll find out if Santa found me – and if so – what I got for Christmas… plus many more adventures!)
This month’s westie cartoon is loosely based on my sailing adventures! (Remember, here in New Zealand, Christmas falls in the summer holidays, because we are in the Southern Hemisphere and the seasons are reversed.)
Yes, there really are wild turkeys… *drools*… Unfortunately I have never been up close to one, as mum and dad won’t let me chase them. Spoilsports!

This Minnie The Westie cartoon seems appropriate right now, seeing as I have been enjoying watching the America’s Cup sailing regatta… The teams were competing on 72′ catamarans!
(And yes, when I go on sailing holibobs, I do rather miss seeing – and chasing – cats!)
Pawsome news! The cartoons for my second book are all finished, and I am waiting for the proof of the book to arrive from the pawrinter! Once I have that I’ll be able to let you know when the cartoon dog book will be available
The new book will be called:
Minnie The Westie: Sailor Dog Vacation – The Adventures Of a West Highland Terrier Cartoon Dog At Sea!
This is another brand-new, never-seen-before westie cartoon from my (forthcoming) second cartoon book!
(The new Minnie The Westie cartoon book will be out in the next couple of months – make sure you get my free Minnie Mail updates to be the first to know!)
Notice in my westie cartoon that I’m more offended about being called a “cat” than the “scaredy” bit! Just because I’m little and cute and furry! *gets all indignant*
The reason I’m a bit defensive about this is because mum and I regularly visit a local care home. (We volunteer for Outreach Therapy Pets: you can see photos of the ‘real’ Minnie visiting the care home here.) Many of the care home residents have dementia and are a little confused. Some of them call me a “pussy cat”. I will put up with it, provided they give me a nice belly rub! BOL!
Minnie The Westie is the star of the dog cartoon book, Minnie The Westie: The Adventures Of A Cartoon West Highland Terrier Cartoon Dog. It’s available as a Paperback book from online bookstores, and Kindle eBook from Amazon. It contains 85 black-and-white Minnie The Westie cartoons.
Westie cartoon: It’s Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day!
OMD, it’s nearly my favourite day of the year… it’s Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day on 23rd February!
(So now’s a great time to use your hypnotise-eyes to get your humans to stock up on your favourite noms!)
Minnie’s top tip: Give your humans a lovely nose lick to reward their good behaviour. Training them in this way will encourage them to give you more noms!
I realise that it’s winter in many parts of the world, but here in New Zealand it is the height of summer!
The sun is shining, the skies are blue, the hibiscus flowers are pawretty… and mum is doing some gardening. As you can see in this month’s westie cartoon, I am very helpful… flat out, in fact! BOL!
Till next time!
Love ‘n’ nose licks,
